Pollak is the Hernreich Distinguished Professor of Economics, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri. He is also Research Associate, National Bureau of Economic Research, Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Research Fellow, Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), Bonn, Germany.
